Why Campbell
Campbell is one of the shortest commutes to the studio. Usually under five minutes from downtown.
Some of my Campbell clients have lived in the area a long time, others moved here more recently. The common thread across the group is wanting patient, durable training rather than something that burns hot for a few weeks and fades. Consistency and longevity over any six-week transformation.
Why the Campbell population is different
The Campbell clients I work with tend to be a little older on average, a little less tech-focused, and a lot more willing to invest in slow, durable training. They've usually already tried the bigger gyms in the area. Sometimes they've tried a trainer before. They know what they want, and they know what they don't want.
What they want is honest, professional training that shows up the same way every session. Someone who doesn't talk down to them, doesn't push a sales agenda, and knows what they're doing with a barbell. What they don't want is an Instagram-ready workout, a pre-packaged program, or a trainer who's on their phone half the session.
Small business schedules
For small business owners in Campbell, the schedule is unique. A lot of them can't make standard gym hours because they're running their own business. I work around that. I have clients who train at 6:30 AM before they open, and others who come in at 2 PM during the lunch lull.
If you run a small business and your schedule is all over the place, we can still make this work. I reserve specific slots for irregular schedules and I'm flexible with rescheduling as long as there's reasonable notice.
Training for longevity, not transformation
A good portion of my Campbell clients are in their forties, fifties, or sixties. The training has to look a little different at that point. We're focused more on getting and keeping bone density, building enough strength that you can keep doing what you love for decades, mobility that keeps joints working without pain, and avoiding the injuries that sideline people later in life.
This isn't the same as training a twenty-five-year-old engineer. The principles are the same, but the execution is more careful. We build slowly, prioritize form, and track everything so we can see progress even when it's subtle.
When his wife stopped asking
One long-time Campbell client is a small business owner in his early fifties who ran a shop near downtown for twenty years. Fifteen of those years he spent hunched over a counter, and his wife had been telling him for most of them that his posture was getting worse. We worked on thoracic mobility and rowing patterns for about four months of twice-a-week sessions, with glute work folded in. His wife stopped asking. He told me that was the win he'd been after the whole time, even though he hadn't phrased it that way when he first came in.
He's still training three years later.
What I do
Services
1:1, semi-private, or small group
Private one-on-one, two-person semi-private, or small group. Every client still gets a program built around their own body, whatever the format.
Strength, conditioning, and mobility
Sessions mix compound strength with conditioning and targeted mobility. The studio has dumbbells, kettlebells, racks, a bench, bands, cardio equipment, and mobility tools.
Programming for the days between sessions
Training you do on your own the rest of the week, at home with whatever you have or at the studio where all the equipment is included. It's how the work compounds.
Longevity-focused approach
Built for the next forty years of your body, not the next four weeks. Bone density, grip strength, balance, and practical nutrition guidance are part of the plan.
